SPECTRO in November: Research, Robotics & Digital Skills Across Europe

November was a busy month for the SPECTRO – Specialised Education Programmes in Cybersecurity and Robotics project, with activities spanning research conferences, student engagement, and the wider EIT Digital ecosystem.

Here are three highlights from across the SPECTRO community:

✅ ICRAE2025 (14-16 November)
PhD student Lorenzo Fici (28DIGITAL) presented new research comparing advanced control strategies for a two-wheeled inverted pendulum. The work reflects the strong collaboration between Polytech and 28DIGITAL, supported by alumni now working in leading tech companies.

✅ EIT Digital Master School Drop-In Session
During a session hosted by Université Côte d’Azur, students explored pathways in robotics, AI, and digital engineering, discovering how SPECTRO helps connect technical learning with real-world innovation.

✅ SophIA Summit & Master School Graduation

At the SophIA Summit and graduation ceremony, 28DIGITAL CEO Federico Menna highlighted Europe’s evolving digital-skills landscape and the increasing importance of robotics and intelligent systems in industry and research.

SPECTRO continues to bridge universities, research labs, and industry partners to support Europe’s next generation of digital leaders.
