Chloroplasts and mitochondria are both organelles need to process forms of energy for cells.  Many students who learn about photosynthesis assume that plants have chloroplasts only, while animals have mitochondria only.  However, plants have both.  Explain why a plant cell would need both and describe the role each would play.
