ARISE: XR is changing how learning happens across Europe

Extended Reality is increasingly being used in education to support deeper understanding, practical skill-building, and learner engagement, especially in higher education contexts.

From immersive simulations and 3D visualization to hands-on, problem-based learning, XR offers new ways for students to explore complex concepts beyond traditional classroom methods. When used in conjunction with clear educational goals, it can enhance learning outcomes and help create more engaging learning experiences.

Through initiatives like Arise – Advanced Realities for Innovation and Skills Enhancement, learners are gaining hands-on exposure to XR while working across borders and disciplines—building skills that matter in today’s digital learning environments.
