Entrepreneurship is often described through concepts like innovation, disruption, and growth. Understanding what it actually involves requires working through the real steps behind building something.
On March 12, students had the opportunity to do exactly that during an interactive workshop organised by 28DIGITAL at the Bosch Budapest Innovation Campus. The session brought together participants from across the EIT Digital Master School portfolio, including ACHIEVE, to explore entrepreneurship in a practical, hands-on way.
⇒ The workshop was structured in two parts, each focusing on a different stage of the entrepreneurial process.
The first session, Foundations of Entrepreneurship, focused on what it actually takes to build a startup. Rather than staying at a high level, participants explored key elements such as building the right team, understanding product–market fit, and navigating early-stage funding decisions. These are often discussed in theory, but here they were unpacked as real challenges that founders face.
The second part, the Interactive Startup Challenge, shifted the focus to the application. Students worked in teams to analyze real entrepreneurial scenarios, develop solutions, and pitch their ideas. This required quick thinking, collaboration, and the ability to make decisions with limited time and information, conditions that reflect real startup environments.
Why This Matters for Learning
This workshop highlighted the importance of connecting education with practice. In fields such as cloud computing, high-performance computing, and digital technologies, technical skills are super important, but so is the ability to apply them in uncertain, real-world contexts.
ACHIEVE helps prepare students not only to understand systems but to work with them, adapt, and contribute in dynamic environments.

Learning by Doing
This kind of hands-on engagement gives students a more realistic view of what it takes to move from an idea to something actionable, which is an essential perspective for anyone looking to work in innovation-driven environments.
