RESCHIP4EU: NanoIC Pilot Line Strengthens Europe’s Semiconductor Ecosystem

The launch of the NanoIC pilot line at Imec in Leuven, supported by €700 million in EU funding as part of a €2.5 billion investment, marks an important step for Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem.

As highlighted by RESCHIP4EU, the facility will enable testing and development of advanced chip designs using cutting-edge Extreme Ultraviolet lithography technology, supporting innovation in areas such as AI systems, autonomous vehicles, healthcare technologies, and future connectivity.

Developments like NanoIC underscore the need for infrastructure, research, and skills development to progress together. Through RESCHIP4EU, partners are working to strengthen the education and training pathways needed to support Europe’s growing semiconductor ambitions.

As partners, Evolutionary Archetypes Consulting SL and 28DIGITAL support initiatives that connect advanced technical training with the broader development of Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem.
