Bio
Dr. María Roel is a passionate, international educator with more than 20 years of educating students at various levels in their education journey in SME electives and world languages. She has a demonstrated history of working in primary and secondary education and teaches through various methods including both standard multicultural teaching materials and full-immersion classroom environments. Roel speaks five languages which allows her not only to be an effective Spanish educator, but also offers her the opportunity to approach a diverse group of students from a place of cultural understanding derived from the hard work she's put into achieving multilingual fluency and multinational understanding. Her experience in Italy through the Erasmus scholarship, in Madrid through her time at the Complutense University of Madrid, and in Spain through her time at the American College of Education have been vital to shaping these experiences. Roel's skills include ESL, Spanish, English, Curriculum Design, Coaching, Strategic Planning, and Spanish Teaching.
