Dr. Magid R. Botros Salib is currently a tenured Professor at Helwan University, Egypt. He was the Co-director of the International Cultural Exchange Program between the U.S. Department of Education and Egypt for two years (2009-2010). He also received a grant from the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) 2003, the U.S, and received two grants from the Fulbright Commission, the U.S. 2006 and 2012-3. He was a Research Associate (2011-2018), at the Global Development Institute (GDI), University of Manchester, the U.K. He had several administrative posts in the field of academics: Head of the School of Business at the Canadian International College (CIC); Advisor to the President for international academic cooperation at Helwan University; Director of Program Delivery at Canwell International Education Consultants; and Chairman of the Department of Political Science atHelwan University. As a professional Consultant/Trainer since 1990, he has provided consultancies and delivered training programs for various institutions including Clark Atlanta University (USA); Chemonics International Consultancy (USA); a chamber of commerce, (USA); Maastricht School of Management, MSM (the Netherlands); New Horizons, an international training corporation (USA); The Applied Science University, ASU (Bahrain); a chamber of commerce (Canada); The American University in Cairo, AUC; National Constancy Bureau, NCB (Egypt); The Canadian International College, CIC, (Egypt); Experts For Development (Egypt) and UAC, a regional training corporation in Kuwait. His professional training programs/consultations have been conducted in the following countries: The United States, Germany, The Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Canada, Turkey, Lebanon, and Bahrain.
Dr. Botros is a Fulbright scholar twice over and has international teaching experience in several universities in the United States, Cape Breton University, Canada, and the Netherlands (Maastricht School of Management). In addition to teaching abroad, Dr. Botros has diverse experience in teaching at a variety of universities in Egypt, including The American University in Cairo (AUC), The British University in Egypt (BUE), Maastricht School of Management (MSM), MBA program in Cairo; NorthEastern University undergraduate program in Egypt; and Modern Science & Arts University (MSA).
The activities and affiliations are as follows: UNILEAD, University Management, and Leadership, the German Academic Exchange, DAAD, Germany; Virginia Export Association, the U.S.; The Policies’ Committee, and the National Democratic Party, Egypt. Dr. Botros has published several papers in International, Regional, and National journals. In addition, he has published a number of books in Arabic and English in Egypt. He is a reviewer for international and regional academic journals in the US, Kuwait, and Egypt.
