Bio

Dr. Karl Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, Writing, and Education from Western Kentucky University, a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Biology, Sociology, and Education) from the University of Texas at Brownsville, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Biological Sciences from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. He has been an active educator since 1985, teaching at the secondary, college, and university levels. Roberts has taught many courses including General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Botany, Marine Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Evolution and Ecology, and Microbiology. For the last 27 years, he was a Professor of Biological Sciences at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland, and also served as Chair of the Department of Natural Sciences (2019-2021) before his retirement in 2021.
