Z. Altug is a board-certified doctor of physical therapy with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from The College of Scholastica. He has 32 years of clinical experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions. Z. uses integrative and lifestyle medicine to help his patients and clients recover and heal. He is the author of Integrative Healing (2018), a Continuing Education Instructor at Herman & Wallace, and a Physical Therapist at Luna On-Demand Physical Therapy. He is also engaged as a Continuing Education Instructor at Physiopedia.

In 2023, Z. Altug will publish the Lifestyle Medicine Toolbox book with Jessica Kingsley Publishers (London).

In addition to his Doctoral Degree, he holds a Master of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Studies and a Bachelor of Science Degree from West Virginia University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
