Dr. Sumegh Tharewal currently works as Program Head of M.Sc. Blockchain Technology at MIT World Peace University, Pune. He completed his  Ph.D. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. He has 11+ years of experience in the Research and Education Industry. His research interests include biometrics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, and Image Processing. He possesses skills in Python (Programming Language), and MATLAB. He has published more than 40 Research Papers in various national and international conferences and peer-reviewed journals like IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier. He has 15 Scopus Research Papers to date, six of which are in the pipeline. He has had 199 citations with a 9h index on Google Scholar for his publication. He received 2 Fellowships in his Ph.D. tenure: one from UGC SAP BSR by the University Grant Commission Government of India and the second from Avishkar Fellowship by the Government of Maharashtra. He received a Research Excellence Award in 2019 from the Institute of Scholars Bangalore. He has successfully completed 5 Projects and filed 13 Patents– 4 with the Indian Government, 5 with the Australian Government, 1 with the South African Government, and 2 with the German Government. Out of 12 patents, 7 received a grant from the Australian Government, and 2 received grants from the German Government.
