Turning Points in U.S. History is 12 lessons from 8 youth history books, from English settlement attempts in eastern North America in 1584, to the assassinations of President Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1960s. Each lesson falls under a broad theme, such as "beginnings," "The Cold War," etc.
Students are encouraged to read the books from which the lessons were drawn (listed on the course overview document). Page numbers are referenced frequently in the lesson slides. There are twelve video lessons, and "to learn more" links to videos and other curated resources.
This class is ideal as a homeschooling curriculum in history and social studies or for independent learning. Come along and study these turning points and their legacy in the history of America
