We will tie this story to the events of the American Civil War, and the flight of the Confederate President, Jefferson Davis, while Lincoln’s funeral train heads to Springfield, and America attempts to reunite North and South. The course is based on two youth history books by best-selling author, James L. Swanson. The first two sessions are drawn from, Chasing Lincoln's Killer, and the third and fourth sessions from Bloody Times.
